The Poor Elijah Foundation was founded by Michele Bramlett (the eldest daughter of Delaney Bramlett) along with her sisters, and friends Maria Schaefer, Lisa Marvin, and Jaesen Kanter. Specifically the foundation works to “educate” musicians in the entertainment industry through mentoring, workshops and seminars.

Our Mission

We had a novel vision of creating a mechanism to teach new musicians (before bad habits, big egos and miserable-ness are developed) the proper skills, techniques, knowledge and behaviors to become happy and successful musicians who can control their own destinies. This is especially true, because music schools and most accomplished musicians generally do not teach young musicians how to accomplish these goals. We continue to strive to come up with highly practical and useful tools that music students and musicians, newly admitted or experienced, can use to make their lives better and to make more money.

Poor Elijah Foundation is a non profit organization that creates and delivers the skills, knowledge and guidance required to maximize professional development and helps musicians achieve success and satisfaction in their careers. We will show musicians at varying levels of experience, how to build, grow and capitalize on their careers. We founded Poor Elijah Foundation® and developed Good People®, a unique tool and comprehensive resource, with the aim of harnessing all of our experience to date to help music students and musicians attain a satisfying and successful professional life.
